Susan Boyle Memories Youtube Video

Susan Boyle, the frumpy Scottish spinster whose amazing voice has become a global YouTube sensation, stunned audiences again on Sunday as she was voted through to the final of "Britain's Got Talent."

Singing "Memory" from the musical "Cats," the 48-year-old overcame initial nerves to produce another command performance, her soaring rendition winning the telephone vote on the talent show.

"You are one special lady, I have to say, you really are," Simon Cowell, one of the panel of three judges, said after Boyle's performance brought the audience to their feet.

Wearing a shimmering purple dress, Boyle looked far more primped and preened than she did on first appearance on the show last month, when her dowdy looks and quirky manner provoked titters from the audience, who assumed she couldn't sing.

This time, her hair was coiffed, her eyebrows were plucked and she looked almost every inch a star in the making.

"What pressure?" she said when asked afterwards if she was nervous. "It was really good tonight, I really enjoyed it ... I'm very happy to be here and thank you all for your support."

Boyle left the judges openmouthed last month with her rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" from "Les Miserables," which almost immediately became an Internet sensation, watched more than 60 million times on YouTube.

With appearances since on U.S. chat shows hosted by Oprah Winfrey and Larry King, Boyle -- who has joked that she has never been kissed -- has become a global sensation, her age and appearance conflicting with most images of modern celebrity.

APOLOGY

After her performance on Sunday, Cowell was moved to apologize to Boyle, saying she had been poorly underestimated.

"You know what, I just want to apologize because of the way we treated you before you sang the first time," he said. "You made me and everyone else look very stupid and I'm very happy for you, very proud for you."

Boyle, who sang in choirs as a youngster but always dreamed of a career in London's West End, tried to shut him up, saying she had paid no attention to the global furor.

Since her performance in April, television crews from around the world have camped outside her home in rural Scotland and newspapers have dedicated countless pages to her.

A fan site dedicated to Boyle is titled "Never judge a book by its cover."

In Sunday's semi-final, Boyle defeated seven other acts including a belly dancer and a Darth Vader impersonator to get through to the final on Saturday

Yellow Ribbon Program

The Montana National Guard unveiled a new program Wednesday aimed at helping families cope with military service before, during and after their loved ones are deployed.

The new campaign, entitled the Yellow Ribbon Program, is designed for all branches of the military. The National Guard will host a public meeting Wednesday night in Billings to discuss the new program. The meeting will provide information about support groups, military programs and available services offered to service men and women.

Montana National Guard Senior Sergeant Master John O'Brien says the Billings community plays a vital role in the lives of service members and it's important they get involved.

"We see our members one weekend a month you know, but you see them 28 days a month. So really it's easy to hide something for 2 days but it isn't easy to hide something for 28 days. And we want to know genuinely if our folks are struggling and having problems because we want to steer them in the right direction and help them."

O'Brien encourages all community members to take part in Wednesday nights event. The meeting is open to the public and starts at 7 p.m. at the Armed Forces Reserve Center located at 2915 Gable Road in Billings.

Homage Clothing Apparel, Homage Clothing

Homage jumped off with licensure to market Ohio State Buckeyes gear a couple of years ago. Since, the clothing troupe has far outpaced its quiet Midwestern roots (Ohio to be exact) by offering brand new “aged” t-shirts fresh off the press that reference bygone popular culture mantras, expired ballplayers and fallen politicians.

The brand has blown up with fashion-conscious cats in Japan, but admittedly, U.S. heads have been a little slow to recognize. For now, the company’s tees can only be purchased through their online store.

Resveratrol Select Review

Looking to learn about Resveratrol?

Today I thought I would write a review on Resveratrol Select.

First, what is Resveratrol, you might ask?

Resveratrol is polyphenol phytoalexin. I know it sounds scary and unintelligible, but actually it’s a natural substance produced by certain vines, pine trees, peanuts, grapes, and other plants.

More about Resveratrol:

Resveratrol is one of the new health supplements for the last few years. They say it could cure diabetes II, extends life and even stops cancer.

Resveratrol is one of the substances that could possibly solve the so called “French paradox”, namely that the French usually eat a diet quite high in saturated fat, yet suffer a low rate of atherosclerotic heart disease, their long life span and young red wines. Resveratrol works as a powerful antioxidant quenching free radical damage in your body. Its unique mechanism of action may prove to have significant life extension properties.

Proven health benefits from taking Resveratrol:

The most important quality with a proven procedure that has Resveratrol is its antioxidant effect. Thanks to it, it stops the action of various free radicals that can damage cells. Resveratrol cooperate with vitamin E and fellow substances.

Prevention of some types of cancer;
Diabetes 2;
Athletic achievements - It is believed that Resveratrol unlocks sports SIRT 1 gene, resulting in significantly improved performance of the test subjects with regard to metabolism speed, hormone levels, etc.;
Extending life span (delaying aging) - It is believed that the way Resveratrol acts is unlocking and encouraging the work of certain genes in human DNA and thus lead to improvement of overall metabolism.

Are there side effects of taking resveratrol?

There are still no side effects detected.

In combination with what should I not take Resveratrol?

There is no known drug interactions.

Resveratrol dosage and how to take it?

There is no established recommended daily intakes by FDA nor the U.S. nor the authorities in the EU. There is research on people receiving up to 5 grams / day without side effects and adverse health effects over a period of several days. Most manufacturers of the additive used for the optimal 500 mg daily dose.

Resveratrol Select:

Resveratrol select is one of the few supplements that is able to promote a health immune system while lowering the harmful cholesterol levels within the body and can boost the function of every cell in the body, creating efficiency within the bodily system and increasing energy levels.

In as little as one tablet per day, Resveratrol select has the ability to change the way that your body functions by increasing the antioxidants within the blood and the cells and creating an efficient working machine, removing the toxins which contribute to disease, aging and even weight gain.

For those seeking a weight loss cure, Resveratrol select can boost the metabolism, meaning that you will have more energy and more drive to exercise. Exercise is an essential part of any weight loss program and should be completed up to four times per week, but many of us are unable to find the time and energy within the daily schedule. With more energy, imagine the pounds that could be shed; all by taking advantage of Resveratrol select.

Carbohydrates are the body’s main source of energy and therefore absorbed readily by the cells Research has demonstrated that by taking Resveratrol and other supplements like it, the absorption of carbohydrates can become significantly decreased, leading to weight loss. The body is able to create energy from the newly detoxified cells.

In order to gain the benefits of even one dose of Resveratrol, you would need to consume more than two-hundred glasses of wine. As an added bonus, Resveratol doesn’t come with the calories and contains only natural ingredients to stimulate weight loss within a healthy body.

Right now you can order a free bottle of Resveratrol Select to see if it's right for you. (This is a limited time offer.)

Jay Bennett, dead at age 45

Jay Bennett, a rock musician with deep ties to Chicago best known as a former member of Wilco, died early Sunday morning in downstate Urbana, where he had been running a recording studio, according to a spokesman for his family.

The singer and multi-instrumentalist was 45 years old.

"Early this morning, Jay died in his sleep and an autopsy is being performed," said Edward Burch, a friend and musician who collaborated with Bennett on the 2005 album "The Palace at 4 a.m." "The family is in mourning and is unavailable for comment at this time."

Born in the Chicago suburb of Rolling Meadows, Bennett began playing in bands as a teenager. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned multiple degrees in secondary education, math and political science. In between, he co-founded the Replacements-like power-pop band Titanic Love Affair, which released three albums during the alternative-rock heyday between 1991 and 1996, when it was dropped from its label.

Bennett was working at a VCR repair shop in Champaign when he was tapped to join Wilco as it toured in support of its first album, "A.M." A talented arranger and versatile musician who could play virtually any instrument he picked up, from mandolin to Mellotron, Bennett formed a fruitful partnership with Wilco bandleader Jeff Tweedy. His contributions over a seven-year period were key to the albums that resulted in the band's national breakthrough, including "Being There" (1996), "Summerteeth" (1999) and "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" (2002).

Relations between Bennett and Tweedy, both painstaking perfectionists, soured during the latter recording, as documented in the film "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart," and Bennett left the band. Earlier this month, Bennett filed a lawsuit against Tweedy for breach of contract and unpaid artist's royalties, stemming in part from his role in the film.

In late April, Bennett wrote on his MySpace blog about dealing with intense pain from a hip injury suffered during a dive from the stage while playing with Titanic Love Affair. He was preparing to have surgery, but was concerned about his lack of health insurance. However, he also was looking forward to finishing his fifth solo album, "Kicking at the Perfumed Air," at his studio, Pieholden Suites, named after the song on "Summerteeth" that best encapsulates his talents as an arranger.

"This whole experience [with the hip pain] has really taught me to look both inward and outward for support, and I've learned things about myself that I thought I had completely figured out years ago," Bennett wrote. "Family and friends have helped me to keep faith in a future that will actually be much more carefree than my constricted present state. I encourage you all to tell me stories of recovery, as they really do help... All in all, I'm 'in a really good place' right now; I'm just waiting until I can make it all happen."

Bennett's former bandmates in Wilco are touring in Spain and could not be reached for comment. But Burch said he had spoken to bassist John Stirratt, and the band was "broken up" about the news.

"He was an extremely talented musician and a great person, and I'll miss him terribly," Burch added.

Jeremy Shockey Rushed to the Hospital

NFL star Jeremy Shockey was taken out of the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas today by stretcher and taken to a nearby hospital.

Sources on the scene tell TMZ Shockey was at Rehab -- the ironic name of the Sunday pool party at the Hard Rock -- when he was found unconscious at around 2:00 PM. Paramedics ended up wheeling Shockey out of the Hard Rock via stretcher. We're told the paramedics tried to cover Shockey up so onlookers -- including a TV camera crew -- couldn't ID him.

UPDATE: We just talked to a rep for the New Orleans Saints, who told us Shockey was just "dehydrated" and that he'll be "fine."

Resveratrol Supplements: The Best Way To Get Resveratrol

Do you know why resveratrol supplements are the best way to get resveratrol for anti aging? Be sure to read this article to find out. If you're looking to improve your health and maintain your youth, you most likely have heard of resveratrol. But do you have to drink 1000 bottles of red wine a day? Luckily there's another way.

Resveratrol, a potent antioxidant thought to help prevent age related diseases, assist in increasing energy and quality of life is receiving a lot of attention. Resveratrol is found naturally in a number of plants and food sources. However, it is quickly being shown that the most effective way to get enough resveratrol is through supplement form. Let’s examine why this is.

Sources of Resveratrol

First, let’s take a look at the sources of resveratrol. Resveratrol is most widely known for being a component in red wine. This is because this polyphenol is found in the skins and seeds of grapes. Red wine has a much higher concentration than white because red wine is fermented with the skins of the grapes. You can also get some resveratrol from grapes through drinking its juice or just plain and simply eating the grapes with the skin on.

Resveratrol is also found in some berries that you just may already be eating. Fruits such as blueberries, cranberries and mulberries all contain resveratrol. You will also find resveratrol in peanuts and peanut butter. Before you start consuming red wine, drinking grape juice, eating tons of berries and peanut butter for your lunch every day, you should know that all of these sources contain small and varying amounts of resveratrol.

Dosage of Resveratrol

While red wine has the highest concentration, it carries with it other health risks like alcoholism and liver disease. In order to get enough resveratrol to make a difference you would have to consumer the above mentioned berries as pretty much your only food source and the same with peanut butter. You won't get enough resveratrol this way.

Don’t panic, it is actually pretty easy to get your daily intake of resveratrol, as it now comes as resveratrol supplements with much higher concentrations of resveratrol than any of the food sources. Most resveratrol supplements are composed of Japanese knotweed, the most potent form of resveratrol currently known. Consuming it in supplement form is the most popular way to get resveratrol.

Resveratrol Supplements

There are a variety of knotweed resveratrol supplements on the market as well as red wine supplements. The supplements made from red wine do tend to be a bit more costly, because they are more expensive to make. You will want to make sure you search out for a reputable brand for your resveratrol supplement and find one that is right for you.

As with all supplements you should speak with your doctor to help you determine what the best supplement form is for you. Resveratrol supplements are a way to get a potent form of resveratrol that is effective, and convenient in capsule form. Find one that has quality ingredients, good testimonials, is effective, has been tested by labs, has good price and a company guarantee.

So there youy have it.

As you can see, resveratrol supplements are becoming a very popular anti aging supplement. Because of its many benefits both reported and from research studies, it's known everywhere as the top anti aging breakthrough in recnet years. If you're interested in healthy aging and anti aging, then find out more about the top resveratrol supplement products and see the benefits for yourself.

Coca-Cola 600 Is Postponed by Rain

CONCORD, N.C., May 24 -- The rain showers that spoiled so many holiday weekend barbecues throughout the Southeast on Sunday also put the brakes on NASCAR's longest race of the year, the Coca-Cola 600, before a single lap was run.

Moments after the 43 drivers were introduced to the near capacity crowd at Lowe's Motor Speedway, the dark skies erupted, drenching the 1.5-mile superspeedway.

With rolling bands of showers forecast throughout the evening, track officials made only cursory efforts to dry the asphalt before announcing at 8:30 p.m. that the race would be postponed until Monday at noon.

Marcus Smith, president and general manager of Lowe's Motor Speedway, was met with groans and a smattering of jeers as he broke the news to the crowd of more than 140,000 -- most of whom had waited since early afternoon to watch pole-sitter Ryan Newman lead the field of stock-car racing superstars at the drop of the green flag.

Smith explained that track workers simply wouldn't be able to get the surface dried in time to run the race to its conclusion.

The Coca-Cola 600 typically drones on for 4 1/2 hours. Like all NASCAR races, it can be declared officially over in the case of rain as long as at least half the stated distance -- in this case, 200 of 400 laps -- has been completed.

Even a few raindrops are enough to scuttle NASCAR races because the cars' tires don't have any treads.

Fox will broadcast Monday's running of the event, at noon.

But the complexion of the event will surely change.

This year marks the 50th running of NASCAR's lone 600-miler. And a golden-anniversary celebration was staged for the occasion, with past 600 champions such as Richard and Kyle Petty, Bobby and Donnie Allison, Buddy Baker and Marvin Panch, introduced during pre-race festivities.

When the green flag drops Monday, track conditions will have changed radically, with Sunday's rain having washed the accumulated tire rubber from the track, which will alter the cars' handling.

"This will really have everyone scratching their heads, that's for sure," said 2004 NASCAR champion Kurt Busch.

It was the first time in the event's history that rain forced a postponement. The inaugural running, originally scheduled for May 20, 1960, was postponed three weeks because of construction delays at the speedway.

While Sunday's rainout botched drivers' plans for a leisurely Monday, Busch said he felt especially bad for the fans.

"The weather has put a kink in a lot of plans," Busch said, "but we shouldn't forget what this holiday is really all about. It's Memorial Day, and it's those brave men and women we need to keep in mind. When you think about the big picture, we all have it pretty good, don't we?"
