The credit goes to the forthcoming movie 'Vannathupoochi' and the censor board has given it an official certification as a Children's film. The film is directed by Azhagappan and revolves around the story of an old man who lives in a village alone and his granddaughter who lives in the city. It is known news that the movie 'Sarithiram' is currently going on in full speed. Starring Rajkiran and Aathi in the lead roles, the story is about the evolution of the traditional martial art form of stick fighting known as 'Silambattam'. Incidentally, the makers were on the lookout for a palace near the Pollachi area and since there was nothing around, they finally decided to renovate an old house into a palace for which they have spent nearly 50 lakhs. A group of bad people kill an honest, hardworking man. The man's wife and son are somehow spared. The son (Vijay) grows up under the impression that his father had perished in an accident. But then, as the story goes, Vijay learns of the malicious plot that got his father murdered. An angry Vijay hatches a plan to bring the murderers to justice and in the process falls in love with the daughter of the bad person's , played by (Nayanthara).
